Located in downtown West Jefferson Arts District, Broomfields Gallery is owned and operated by Bill and Julia Bishop of Crumpler. The Bishops are graduates of Miami University in Ohio and have been collecting art and antiques for 50 years. They operated a shop at their B & B (Broomfields) in Central Texas from 1993-99 and showed at the semi-annual Round Top (Texas) Antiques Show. From 2002-07, they maintained space in antiques malls in Asheville, Boone, Blowing Rock, and W. Jefferson.

The Gallery features Fine Art, paintings in oil, pastel, and watercolor; Art Photos; Carvings; and Stained Glass by well-known local and other artists; Quality Antiques and Collectibles; Selected Gift Items; and The Gambit - Interior Design.

Julia Bishop, IIDA, was a licensed interior designer in Texas and has maintained a consulting business there since 1972, together with client service in Ashe Co. and in Asheville. In addition to complete interior design services, she offers space planning and construction consultation. Among suppliers represented are F. Schumacher, Robert Allen and Norbar fabrics with samples on hand for special order, and New River Artisans custom rugs with some stock available. Anything can be ordered by request from 'To The Trade' fabric, accessories, or furniture houses.
